Hello, I am Gavin Webb, London Blue Badge Tour Guide. I would be delighted to show you around my wonderful city. I was named Luxury Travel Guide’s London Tour Guide of the Year in 2018 and 2019 and was awarded “Best Site Guide” in 2005 when I qualified as a London Blue Badge Tour Guide after the extensive study and examinations set by the Institute of Tourist Guiding. As a registered Guide Trainer, I have the privilege of being one of the tutors on the course training others to become professional London guides. I am also an accredited Examiner for the Institute of Tourist Guiding. I enjoy attending seminars, art courses, talking to curators and constantly researching to ensure my knowledge is up to date and fresh.
I love to share my knowledge and enthusiasm for this amazing city with its 2000 years of history and its exciting, vibrant, contemporary scene. I can tell you about my favourite restaurants, exhibitions and theatre productions and what life is really like living and working in the world’s greatest city.
Before becoming a professional guide, I worked in asset management in the financial City. The analytical and presentation skills I gained there are now used in the much more interesting and fun world of guiding!
